19/02/2008 – Elan Gives Further Details of its New Scholarship Programme
Elan is delighted to announce its commitment to supporting the education of a select number of high-potential students through full scholarships. This programme will be implemented across all Elan Institutes ensuring that Elan captures the highest quality of applicants and is able to foster strong and positive relationships with local communities.
“This approach to education really highlights Elan’s belief that talent should be pushed, encouraged and celebrated,” explains Bruno Lefeuvre, Elan’s Manager Asia. The scholarships will be awarded to students on the basis of merit. Recipients will be judged by Elan trainers to be individuals with the highest potential to succeed with the world’s best airlines or private jet companies.
Thus far four scholarships have been awarded following the submission of a brief essay that applicants had written explaining examples of excellent customer service. The first recipients will now be able to hone their skills at the Elan Institute in Bangkok.
In the future Elan Scholars will be the first individuals to be approached for Attaché roles, representing Elan at international events and industry exhibitions. This decision has been made following the huge success at ITCA 2008 in Nice where the first Elan Attachés played an important role as hostesses for the gategroup stand.
The bringing together of the Scholarship and Attaché programmes highlights Elan’s dedication to supporting and educating talented and energetic individuals that will be the future stars of the industry.
New sections will be added soon to the Elan website giving more details of the scholarship programme.
