26/06/2008 – Elan Graduates Join Air France Lounge in Hong Kong International Airport
We are very excited to announce that five of our Bangkok graduates have been selected to work as Intern Attachés in Air France’s premium airport lounge in Hong Kong. They made the journey to Hong Kong on Wednesday and they will begin their internship in the Airport lounge on the 1st of July.
The five graduates took part in a special “Airport Lounge Training Workshop” with our Project and Client Services Director, Methilda Parry, and two of our senior trainers Aui Bunyi and Celeste Estudillo.
These are the first Elan graduates to be employed in airport lounges around the world. We are looking to select the next team to start working in the Air France’s premium airport lounge in Hong Kong in December 2008. We are also looking to select more of our students and graduates who would like to work in our partner airport lounge in London’s Heathrow airport in England.
This year we anticipate sending our graduates to more airport lounges in Asia, Europe, North America and South America.

19/11/2007 – Elan to introduce new English course in Bangkok
Elan is developing a new English course to assist students in Bangkok. The course is scheduled to start this December or coming January. Classes will be held in the evenings and will be open both to current Elan students looking to improve their English in preparation for careers in the aviation industry and to individuals simply looking to improve their English language capabilities.
More information about the course fees, timetable and how to apply will be posted on the Elan site in the next fortnight.
10/09/07 – Impressive Numbers at Etihad Prescreening Openday
Elan hosted and organised a busy and bustling prescreening openday for Etihad Airways yesterday at the Plaza Athenee Hotel in Bangkok. Over eight-hundred hopeful candidates showed up for the event, some arriving as early as 7am for the 9am start. Of the eight-hundred candidates, around one-hundred-and-eighty have been invited for the final-day interviews later this month.
Elan and Performa CEO Keith Yates expressed his excitement at the nubers and the quality of the candidates, “It really is fantastic to have so many high calibre candidates at the event. It is always very difficult to predict the response to these events and even harder to anticipate the number of candidates that will be suitable for the next stage, however I have enjoyed today immensely. I have met some very bright and promising young individuals and I wish them every success at the next stage.”
24/09/07 – Elan Hosts Etihad Recruitment Event in Bangkok
On the 20th, 21st and 22nd of September Elan hosted a recruitment event for Etihad Airways at the Amari Watergate Hotel in Bankok.
The event included an Elan self-presentation workshop on Thursday the 20th presented by Montinee Ittikamoniert, Elan’s Manager of Training and Adrian Pring, Elan’s Brand and Communications Manager.
On the 21st and the 22nd, the Etihad recruiters came to manage the final interviews, assesing one-hundred-and-eighty hopefuls that had been successful at the prescreening openday earlier in the month.
Adrian Pring, speaking at the event on Friday, wished candidates the best of luck, “It has been a really good couple of days so far and I would like to wish all of those present today and tomorrow the best of luck. I would also like to encourage those that aren’t successful to be positive and proactive as they continue in their applications for other airlines.”
11/06/07 – Elan Exhibiting at Bali Job Fair
Elan will be sending a team of recruiters and trainers to the Bali Hospitality & Tourism Job Fair on the 15th and 16th of June. Elan Training and Recruitment Specialist, Michelle Phang Explains that Elan is excited to be exploring recruitment opportunities in Indonesia. “There are many talented individuals in Indonesia that will really benefit from what Elan has to offer. Hopefully we can provide them with the training and service experience to help them achieve their goals”.
06/06/07 – Bangkok Graduates Taste Success
The first batch of graduates from Elan, The Performa Institute for In-Flight Service, have seen remarkable success in their first attempts to attain flight attendant careers with top middle eastern airlines.
